PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sill clearance bottom blocking device blocking almost the entire area of the bottom of a clearance between an elevator hall corresponding to an entrance and a car and also preventing interference with the other members at the time of elevating and lowering the car. SOLUTION: A box body 22 is arranged on the bottom of the doorway sill part 12 of the car 10, and elasticity is applied to the box body 22 toward the elevator hall 14 by coil springs 26. Both ends of belt-like bodies 34a, 34b are supported on a shaft body 54 and box body 22 supported in the lower end part of a door. Cam plates 24 are fixed on the box body 22, and rollers 30 are supported on movable side attachment plates 32. The cam plates 24 allow in cooperation with the rollers 30 that when the door is closed, the box body 22 is pushed to the bottom of the doorway sill part 12 against the elasticity of the coil springs 26 and when the door is opened, the box body 22 projects from the bottom of the doorway sill part 12 toward the elevator hall 14 side by elasticity of the coil springs 26.
