<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for preparing zeolite beta. <P>SOLUTION: The preparation method at least comprises (i) a step of mixing at least one kind of source of at least one kind of tetravalent element X, at least one kind of fluoride anion, and at least one kind of quaternary ammonium salt represented by the formula: (H<SB>3</SB>C)<SB>2</SB>-N<SP>+</SP>-(CH<SB>2</SB>CH<SB>2</SB>C(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>3</SB>)<SB>2</SB>and (ii) a step of hydrothermally treating the above-obtained mixture until zeolite beta is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
