A display device and a displaying method thereof are provided to prevent an erroneous advertisement from being transferred due to an error of an operator by using a sticker type. A display device(100) includes a display unit(140), a mode selection unit(110), and a control unit(130). The display unit displays a predetermined image. The mode selection unit selects one of a normal mode to display an image inputted from a host apparatus and an advertisement mode to display an advertisement image. The control unit displays the image corresponding to a selected driving mode on the display unit if one of the driving modes is selected.
