PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the temperature of food placed on a food placement shelf as much as possible. SOLUTION: A food humidifier includes, in a humidifying chamber 3, the food placement shelves 10, 11, 12, respectively having shelf heaters 10a, 11a, 12a and arranged to be three stages in a vertical direction, and then, heats the food placed on the food placement shelves 10, 11, 12 with the use of the corresponding shelf heaters 10a, 11a, 12a. The setting temperature of the shelf heater 10a on the food placement shelf 10 of the most upper stage is set to be lower than the setting temperature of the shelf heater 12a on the food placement shelf 12 of the lowest stage. Then, the temperature close to the food placement shelf 10 of the most upper stage of which the temperature is apt to increase, is prevented from being raised. Consequently, the temperature of the food to be placed on the food placement shelf 10 of the most upper stage is brought close to the temperature of the food to be placed on the food placement shelf 12 of the lowest stage.
