<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device that ensures stable operation of a system by changing the operation mode of a functional unit, even if a power supply unit breaks down. <P>SOLUTION: The electric device 100 is constituted which is composed of a plurality of power supply units 120, having feedable power values as a power-supply attribute, the plurality of functional units 150 having the maximum values of power consumption or power consumption values during the lowest power-consuming operation as a unit attribute, and a power supply control device 130. In the power supply control device 130, the sum of power values of mounted power supply units and the sum of power consumption (maximum values) of functional units 150 are monitored, whether the electronic device 100 can be electrically operated stably is confirmed through these value comparisons when there is increase or decrease in the number of power supply units 120 and functional units 150 or failures occur in the power supply units 120 and the functional units 150; and when there is a problem, the device is stopped automatically and is then shifted into a predetermined operating state, when electrical problem can be predicted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
