PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of starting power supply before a link is established.SOLUTION: A device (active cable 330) connected with a source apparatus 310 or sink apparatus 320 comprises a device information presentation unit 335 for presenting device information on the power supply of the device itself. A device information presentation unit presents a device type (power supply unnecessary device, power supply request device, or power supply available device). Even if a link is not established when the device gets connected with the MHL connector of the source apparatus or sink apparatus, the source apparatus or sink apparatus reads information from the device information presentation unit, and can start appropriate reception or supply of power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
