The invention relates substantially to a system for time-based access restriction in a cloud environment, in which the cloud environment itself checks the time-based aspects during access to digital contents, and enforces appropriate policies or has a dedicated gate-keeper unit which, depending on access rules with time conditions and current time information, permits or prevents the downloading of useful data by an application program on the consumer side. By this means, improved optimization can be carried out during the replication of digital contents in various parts of the world and, for example, a higher level of security can be achieved. Thus it is possible, for example, to achieve a situation where the cloud computing environment enables access to a film for a specific country only at a defined time, or where specific contents are accessible in a specific country only later in the evening and not already during the day. |
