PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush holder assembly of a commutator electric motor capable of solving problems relevant to reliability such as a looseness generated due to unsatisfactory crimping-fix, uneven force when press-fitting an irregular shaped pipe into a synthetic resin brush holder, sliding failure of a carbon brush due to inner deformation of the irregular shaped pipe which is fixed by means of crimping or using a separate part.SOLUTION: The brush holder assembly includes: an irregular shaped pipe made of a steel plate with a thickness t; and an irregular shaped pipe holder for press-fitting and fixing the irregular shaped pipe having two convexes which are formed on each of the side faces facing the inner peripheral surface. The convexes are disposed within a range of 3.2 to 4.8 times of the thickness t of the irregular shaped pipe from the four corners on the side faces of the irregular shaped pipe holder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
