PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Koto (Japanese stringed musical instrument) string clamping holder and a Koto string tightening device allowing anyone to easily and in a short period of time renew or re-tighten Koto strings with fractional force.SOLUTION: The Koto string clamping holder includes a ratchet-type hand winch with a stopper used as tension means, and the stopper of the hand winch used as means for fixing/holding the string tension state. The Koto string clamping holder is installed in a sound hole on a rear surface of Ryubi (a tail part of the Koto). Koto strings are slidably inserted between a pressing surface 16 with an inclined face of the Koto string clamping holder body 1 and pressing surfaces 23a, 23b, and 23c of a pressing material 20 with a slope, where the interval therebetween is larger than the thickness of the Koto string. The Koto strings are winded up by the ratchet type hand winch with the stopper of the tension means, the winding-up is stopped at a prescribed tension state, and then long nuts 11 (nuts or butterfly nuts) of pressing means as the tightening means of the Koto string clamping holder body are tightened.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
