PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge head having few variation of a flow channel resistance in the flow channel connected to a discharge port.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head 4 has a substrate 11, and an energy generating element 15 provided at the side of a first face 11a in the substrate 11 and generating the energy for discharging a liquid. A flow channel which penetrates the substrate 11 from a first face 11a thereof to a second face 11b opposite to the first face 11a and feeds the liquid from the side of the second face 11b to that of the first face 11a is provided on the substrate 11. The flow channel has plural first flow paths 12 and a second flow path 13 positioning at the side of the second face 11b apart from the first flow paths 12. Plural first flow paths 12 have the openings on the bottom of the second flow path 13. The plural first flow paths 12 have relatively long flow paths and short paths in a direction perpendicular to the first face 11a, and the long flow path has a flow path resistance per unit length lower than that of the short path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
