PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system that offers capability to suppress aberration variation accompanied with changes in wavelengths of light used for photographing and good imaging performance with light in a wide wavelength range, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: In order to clear the above problem, an optical system disclosed herein includes at least one lens group having a diffractive surface, and satisfies the following conditional expression: -0.05≤Δ(d-s)/f≤0.05, where f represents an arbitrary focal length exhibited by the entire optical system, and Δ(d-s) represents a paraxial imaging position for the s-ray (852.11nm) relative to a paraxial imaging position for the d-ray (587.56nm) at the arbitrary focal length exhibited by the entire optical system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
