PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress the occurrence of density unevenness due to charging unevenness compared with a prior art even in a high-humidity environment.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming apparatus 100 comprising a photoreceptor drum 1, charging roller 2, exposure unit 3, developing device 4, transfer roller 5, and upstream gap G1 that is a gap extending from a contact part A of the charging roller 2 and photoreceptor drum 1 over the upstream in the direction of rotation L1 of the photoreceptor drum 1, where the dimensions of the gap is reduced from the upstream toward the downstream in the direction of rotation L1, and the charging roller 2 discharges electricity to the photoreceptor drum 1, where the developing device 4 recovers a developer remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 after the transfer roller 5 transfers a developer to the photoreceptor drum 1 simultaneously with development. The image forming apparatus comprises an upstream nip exposure device 9 that eliminates electricity in a portion of the photoreceptor drum 1 arranged opposite to the upstream gap G1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
