PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing original guidance information from becoming unusable if the current position of a vehicle is erroneously determined to be out of a route.SOLUTION: A navigation system starts searching for a new route from a current position to a destination if it is determined that the current position is out of a scheduled route, and deletes guidance information stored in storage means when route search is started, but on the other hand holds the guidance information stored in the storage means for a prescribed period after the start of the route search if an erroneous determination condition having the possibility of erroneous determination of the current position being out of the route is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
