PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing an optical element, in which a released-from-mold state of a molding raw material received in a mold set is controlled with simple constitution.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing an optical element comprises: soaking members 32b, 31b (upper stage unit and lower stage unit) between which a mold set 100 having an upper die 101 (first molding die) and a lower die 102 (second molding die) arranged opposite each other across a molding raw material 201 is sandwiched; and a side face pressing part 60 pressing a side face of the mold set 100 sandwiched between the soaking members 32b, 31b. A projection part 32b-1a for tilting the upper die 101 by coming into contact with the upper die 101 of the mold set 100 having the side face pressed by the side face pressing part 60 is formed on a surface, contacting the mold set 100, of one (soaking member 32b) of the soaking members 32b, 31b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
