PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring resin composition that can be used to produce a highly heat-resistive color filter, and to provide a color filter produced using the same.SOLUTION: A color filter coloring resin composition is disclosed, containing a methane compound represented by a formula (1) below, binder resin, curing agent, photopolymerization initiator and/or curing accelerator. (In the formula (1), Rrepresents an alkyl group having a carbon number of 1 to 4, X represents a halogen atom, and n represents an integer of 1 to 3).
