The invention relates to a packaging element (1A, 1B) for packaging a stack of substrate sheets placed on a pallet, the packaging element (1A, 1B) comprising: - a central panel that is intended to be pressed against a vertical face of the stack, and - two lateral panels that are connected to the central panel and, when the central panel is pressed against the vertical face of the stack, are able to be positioned one on each side of the stack of sheets, each lateral panel coming into contact with a vertical face of the pallet.
