PURPOSE:To prevent most of erroneous operation at the time of reproduction by setting permeability and reflectivity of a reflecting layer to specific conditions in an information recording medium in which a recording layer containing dye for recording or reproducing information by a laser, the reflecting layer made of metal and a protective layer are sequentially provided in this order on a board. CONSTITUTION:If permeability of a reflecting layer 13 is 10% or more, and reflectivity characteristic of an information recording medium is expressed by a reflectivity curve with reflectivity (%) at an ordinate axis and a wavelength (nm) at an abscissa axis, the gradient (%/nm) of a tangential line of the medium in the oscillation wavelength of a reproducing laser to be used is in a range of +0.6-0.6. In order to improve the reflectivity, an enhancement layer may be provided on a recording layer 12. The material of the enhancement layer includes, for example, inorganic substance such as SiO2, AlN, ZnS, Si3N4, etc.; and polymer such as polybutadiene, ethylene polymer, fluorine resin, etc. Light reflective substance of the material of the layer 13 has high reflectivity for a laser light, and desirably includes, for example, Ni, Cu, Au, Zn, Al, In, Pt and C. |
