PURPOSE:To provide an electrode material having excellent consumption resistance and suitable for use in an electric protection method adopting an external power source system. CONSTITUTION:Silicon carbide particles are dispersed in graphite to obtain an electrode material. The amt. of the silicon carbide particles in this electrodes material is preferably 5-50vol.%. Since silicon carbide particles are dispersed in graphite, the consumption resistance of the electrode material is improved. The strength is also increased and strength is sufficient to connect a leading wire and to seal the connected part. |
