PURPOSE:To provide exhaust gas desulfurization equipment simplified by preventing the scaling of the top part of an absorbing tower without providing a washing system to the top part of the absorbing tower. CONSTITUTION:In exhaust gas desulfurization equipment for cooling and washing exhaust gas by the absorbing solution 3 circulated in an absorbing tower 1, the wall surface of the exhaust gas outlet part of the absorbing tower 1 is cooled by the cooling jacket 14 utilizing said wall surface to generate condensed water on the wall surface to clean the top part of the absorbing tower.
