<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a silicone rubber roll having a reduced low-mol. siloxane content by forming on a metal core a cured layer of a composition comprising a specific organopolysiloxane, a reinforcing silica powder, a particulate silicone elastomer, and a hardener. CONSTITUTION:A layer of a silicone rubber composition (a) is formed on a metal core and cured to produce the silicone rubber roll. The composition (a) comprises an organopolysiloxane which is represented by the empirical formula R<1>nSiO(4-n)/2 (wherein each R<1> independently is an (un)substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group and n is a number of 1.98-2.02) and in which the total content of low-mol. siloxanes having a degree of polymerization of 3-20 is 10,000ppm or lower; a reinforcing silica powder having a specific surface area of 50m<2>/g or larger; a particulate silicone elastomer in which the total content of low-mol. siloxanes having a degree of polymerization of 3-20 is 2,000ppm or lower and which has an average particle diameter of 200mum or smaller; and a hardener.</p> |
