PURPOSE:To provide an optically isotropic film or fiber having low infrared absorption. CONSTITUTION:The objective drawn film or fiber is produced from a film or fiber composed mainly of a methacrylonitrile polymer or copolymer by drawing the film or fiber at a temperature near the glass transition temperature. The copolymerizing component of the methacrylonitrile copolymer of the drawn film or fiber is preferably one or more substances selected from acrylonitrile, (meth)acrylic acid ester, styrene, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, vinyl fluoride, vinylidene fluoride and vinyl acetate. |
