PURPOSE: To produce a steel sheet excellent in adhesion to a phenolic foam and acid resistance by providing a plating layer having specified contents of Zn and Al, a chemically converted coating film layer and an epoxy coating film layer successively on at least the rear of an iron sheet. CONSTITUTION: Plating layers 3a and 3b (about 2-30μm thickness) contg. 45% Zn and 55% Al are applied respectively on the rear and front of an iron sheet 2 to form a substrate 1, chemically converted coating films 4a and 4b are formed on the substrate 1, and further a service coat 5 consisting of an epoxy coating film layer (of epoxymelamine having 5-20μm thickness) is formed on the coating film 4a. Meanwhile, a primer layer 6 (of vinyl ester) and a top layer 7 (epoxy resin coating material) are formed successively on the coating film 4b. A phenolic foam is bonded to the rear of a steel sheet 8 thus processed, hence the intrusion of an acidic substance from the phenolic foam is prevented by the service coat 5, and the adhesion between the steel sheet 8 and the phenol coat 5 is improved.
