PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain generation of arc discharge by exhausting air from a vessel containing a microwave receptor before it is sealed in an airtight manner in putting a medical apparatus in a vessel containing a microwave receptor, sealing the same, and sterilizing the apparatus by the application of microwave thereto. SOLUTION: A bag 10 is formed of a flexible sheet bent and sealed along its two edges 12, 14, with its upper edge 16 being opened at first for accommodating a medical device such as a dental prove needle 18. After the device 18 is installed in a bag 10, the atmospheric air in the gab 10 is evacuated by use of a vacuum pump, a top end 16 is sealed by heat sealing. Then, it is exposed with microwave irradiation for sterilization. In this case, the innermost layer of the bag 10 is made of a metallized plastic film to restrain generation of arc discharge. The plastic film is adapted to absorption of microwave energy for converting the same into heat. |
