PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display having high discharge efficiency. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel is equipped with a first substrate S1 and a second substrate facing each other with a rib 4 intervened between to form a discharge space, and an X electrode 7 and a Y electrode 8 extended in parallel with each other in the first substrate S1. The first substrate S1 is provided with a recessed part 100 between the X electrode 7 and Y electrode 8 on the surface of the second substrate. A protective film to increase a secondary-emission coefficient is provided on the surface of the recessed part 100. |
