PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame for an animal cage having high safety and capable of preventing falling of the cage at the generation of an earthquake. SOLUTION: This frame for an animal cage has a shelf board 2 and pillars 3-6 supporting the shelf board 2 and forms an opening face taking in and out an animal cage in the front face of the shelf board. In the frame for the animal cage, (a) a pair of stopping pieces are provided in two props positioned to both ends of the opened face, (b) a non-elastic band whose both ends are stopped on the pair of the stopping pieces is provided and (c) at least one of the pair of stopping pieces is elastic stopping pieces fastening the non-elastic band when the non-elastic band is stopped.
