Safe power supply for a personal computer comprises a housing (10) that contains function and electronic components and has an opening for a display (2). The latter displays operating parameters, e.g. voltage and frequency, of the power supply. The display can be attached on the power supply itself or externally on the computer. The supply also has a processing unit, connected to the display and a current unit. The latter converts the input network current and also outputs relevant information to the processing unit.
