PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a necessary space during tray pulling-out in a disk device with a simple configuration and to miniaturize the disk device. SOLUTION: This disk device is constituted in such a manner that a tray driving mechanism reciprocates a tray and moves a traverse unit up and down, a door opening/closing mechanism is interlocked with the tray driving mechanism to open a tray pulling-out opening at the time of starting of the tray driving mechanism from a recording/reproducing position, and to close the tray pulling-out opening at the time of finishing of the tray driving mechanism to the recording/reproducing position.
