<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator for an air bag with excellent ignition combustibility of gas generation agent. <P>SOLUTION: When high temperature gas by an operation of a first igniter 21 flows from a first communication hole 34 to a combustion chamber 40 in this gas generator, the gas generation agent 43 closer to the first communication hole 34 burns first and combustion gas is easy to flow toward a larger communication hole 85.
