<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily store and take out a medical chart. <P>SOLUTION: When taking out the medical chart, a host computer 1 specifies a shelf number of a medical chart storage shelf 10 corresponding to a patient ID read from a magnetic card 6 by a card reader/writer 2 to turn on a light emitting device on the shelf of the shelf number by controlling a control device 4. When it becomes clear that the medical chart is taken out from the result of a communication with a RFID label 8 attached to the medical chart, the light emitting device is turned off. When storing the medical chart, the host computer 1 specifies the shelf number of the medical chart storage shelf 10 corresponding to the patient ID and controls the control device 4 to turn on the light emitting device on the shelf of the shelf number.
