CRANKSHAFT FOR A LARGE TWO-STROKE INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE OF THE CROSSHEAD TYPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the reduced full length of a crank shaft divided into at least two crankshaft parts in an axial direction better known for a ground of cross-head large-sized 2-stroke large-sized internal combustion engine.

SOLUTION: The crankshaft for a cross-head 2-stroke internal combustion engine has a plurality of throws (2) provided with two crank arms (3) intercoupled through a crank pin (4). The throws (2) are integrally intercoupled through a plurality of main journals (5). The crankshaft (1) is divided into at least two crankshafts (1a and 1b) in the lengthwise direction. The crankshafts (1a and 1b) are intercouled by coupling one part of divided throws (2') to the other part of the divided throws (2') or coupling the free end of the main journal (5') to the free end of a crank arm (3').
