<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cannula capable of preventing the heart endocardium from extending along the external surface of the cannula. <P>SOLUTION: A cannula 1 includes a tubular body 2 and a cylindrical porous body 3 disposed around the external surface of the tubular body 2 the proximal side of which is provided with a male screw 2a to be connected with an artificial blood vessel or the like. When the cannula 1 is attached to one's heart 10, the porous body 3 is located over a cannula 1 to be in contact with the heart wall, so that the heart endocardium can be immersed in the porous body 3, which prevents the heart endocardium from extending along the external surface of the cannula 1 or covering it. Therefore, it prevents the occurrence of vessel obstruction, which is caused by a piece of the heart endocardium that enters a blood vessel after growing, sticking out of the end of the cannula 1, and getting cut off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
