An electric actuator of a vehicle pivotal door is provided to solve a size problem of the electric actuator by allowing the electric actuator to have a compact size. An electric actuator of a vehicle pivotal door comprises a case(11) mounted to one of a motor vehicle and the pivotal door, an electric motor(5) mounted to the case, a speed reduction mechanism installed in a gear receiving space of the case, a rotary output gear taken in the gear receiving space of the case, an output arm(9), a connecting rod(10) having one end pivotally connected to the output arm and the other end pivotally connected to the other of the motor vehicle and the pivotal door. The connecting rod is arranged beside the case in a manner to avoid overlapping thereof with the case in a direction that is perpendicular to a direction in which the connecting rod is moved by the output arm.
