<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely switch double-sided printing and single-sided printing according to contents of printing data even when no printing method is set before execution of printing processing. <P>SOLUTION: The control method of the printer has: the determination step (S24) of analyzing the printing data transmitted from a host computer 20 when a specific character string is preliminarily set to the printer 10, and determining whether data agreeing with the specific character string is included in the printing data; and the printing step (S27) of carrying out double-sided printing when it is determined that the data agreeing with the specific character string is included, and of carrying out single-sided printing when the data agreeing with the specific character string is not included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
