摘要 Uncompressed video information is transmitted over a wireless communication medium from a wireless sender device to a wireless receiver device. Progressive transmission data rate adaptation is performed on original uncompressed video pixel information. The progressive transmission data rate adaptation is performed on selected pixel information to obtain a rate-reduced pixel information. The rate-reduced pixel information requires a lower transmission data rate than the original frame. The rate-reduced pixel information is transmitted over the wireless communication medium to the wireless receiver device. At the receiver, a reverse operation is performed to recover the original uncompressed video pixel information.

A method of transmitting video information over a wireless communication medium, comprising: in a wireless sender device, obtaining original pixel information of uncompressed video pixels; performing successive progressive transmission data rate adaptation operations on selected pixels utilizing pixel differential transformation to obtain rate-reduced pixel information based on performing a pixel differential transformation mode on pixels of selected pairs of reference pixels and target pixels in a block of selected pixels, wherein the pixel differential transformation mode comprises performing a pixel differential operation based on determining pixel differential information between current pixel information of a reference pixel and current pixel information of a target pixel and replacing the current pixel information of the target pixel with the pixel differential information as the rate-reduced pixel information, each determined pixel differential information is used in a successive progression for a further pixel differential operation where the target pixel is used as a next reference pixel for a next pixel differential operation, and the rate-reduced pixel information requires a lower transmission data rate than the original pixel information; and transmitting the rate-reduced pixel information over the wireless communication medium.
