The invention relates to a scalpel (1) for ophthalmic surgery with integrated temperature measurement characterized in that it provides a temperature sensor (2) comprised of biocompatible material, provided on the end of the needle (1) and connected with an electronic circuit for processing the signal. The invention further concerns a process for manufacturing the above described scalpel (1) for ophthalmic surgery.
