PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer in which no stripe is generated in a printing result printed on a medium, without adhesion of the medium after printing to an apron part.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer in which printing is performed by an ink head that moves in a main scanning direction orthogonal to a sub-scanning direction and discharges solvent ink to a medium carried in the sub-scanning direction includes a platen arranged as facing the lower surface of the ink head and extending in the main scanning direction, an apron part in which a smooth part the surface of which is formed as smooth and a wave form part on the surface of which a wave form is formed are arranged inline in the sub-scanning direction and which has a cross section of almost an arc, and a heater which is located at the rear surface side of the smooth part in the apron part and heats the smooth part. The apron part is arranged at the side in which the medium is exhausted in the sub-scanning direction in the platen so that the smooth part and the platen are adjacent to each other. |
