PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure of an electric wire and a terminal which conductively connects a round type electric wire and a terminal metal fitting by pressing the round type electric wire on a press-contacting blade of the terminal metal fitting, and which can achieve reduction in size of a connector housing for accommodating the press-contacting blade by narrowing the width of the press-contacting blade without deterioration in electrical connection performance with the electric wire due to deformation or the like of the press-contacting blade, even though the width of the press-contacting blade is narrowed.SOLUTION: A connection structure includes: a terminal metal fitting 30 having a press-contacting blade 33 which is brought into contact with a conductor on the inside of insulation coating of a round type electric wire 10 by cutting the insulation coating when an outer peripheral surface of the round type electric wire is pressed on the press-contacting blade 33, and comes into a state of being conductively connected to the conductor; and a connector housing 20 which accommodates the terminal metal fitting. The connector housing includes: a terminal accommodation part 21 which holds the terminal metal fitting; an electric wire insertion port 22 to which the round type electric wire can be inserted; and an electric wire pressing cover 23. The terminal metal fitting and the round type electric wire are conductively connected by pressing the insulation coating on a lower side of the round type electric wire on the press-contacting blade and cutting it. |
