Provided is a portable electronic device in which an electric shock protection function is embedded. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the portable electronic device in which the electric shock protection function is embedded comprises: a circuit board; a camera module mounted on the circuit board; a conductive cover arranged to cover a portion of an upper side of the camera module; a conductive connection unit configured to electrically come into contact with the conductive cover and mounted on the circuit board; and an electric shock protection element mounted on the circuit board to be serially connected to the conductive connection unit, configured to pass static electricity inputted from the conductive cover, and configured to block a leakage current of external power inputted to a ground unit of the circuit board.
