Provided is a battery system including multiple battery banks and a distribution control part. The distribution control part is configured to receive a command including a target charging/discharging amount, to determine priority of the multiple battery banks on the basis of a charging state and a health state of each of the multiple battery banks, to select at least a part of the multiple battery banks to perform charging or discharging in accordance with the target charging and discharging amount according to the priority, to perform charging or discharging in accordance with the target charging and discharging amount with regard to the at least a part of the multiple battery banks, and to pause the rest battery banks. The battery system has reduced degradation speed. |
