PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing polymer, enabling an impurity cation to be efficiently removed from an aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer, and to provide the purified aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer.SOLUTION: A method for producing an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing polymer includes a step (A) for preparing an aqueous dispersion of a fluorine-containing polymer including a fluorine-containing polymer containing a specific group, a step (B) for subjecting the aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer to ultrafiltration, and a step (C) for obtaining a purified aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer by bringing the aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer into contact with a cation-exchanging type ion exchange resin after the step (B), while regulating the electric conductivity at 25°C of the aqueous dispersion of the fluorine-containing polymer to be in contact with the cation-exchanging type ion exchange resin in the step (C) so as to be >1 mS/cm. |
