PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a thickness and weight of a support part of a medium support unit including a pressing part which can press a medium supported by the support part.SOLUTION: A medium support unit 2 is provided with a support part 4 having a support surface 8 for supporting the medium M and a receiving part 13 having a receiving surface 12 recessed with respect to the support surface 8, and a pressing part 10 which can press the medium M supported by the support part 4 when received by a receiving surface 12. The receiving part 13 is formed of a material having higher rigidity than a material for forming the support surface 8. The medium support unit 2 having such the structure can reduce a thickness and weight of the support part 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
