PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near-infrared ray cut filter which has high transmittance in a visible light region, has a wide view angle, is excellent in near-infrared cutting capability, and can be suitably used, particularly, in a solid-state imaging device such as a CCD, CMOS image sensor.SOLUTION: A near-infrared ray cut filter has a resin substrate (I) containing a light absorbent (A) having a resin and a structure derived from a compound represented by formula (I).
