PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel myofunctional regulator derived from natural products.SOLUTION: The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of muscle disorders containing Kaempferia parviflora Wall. Ex. Baker (Kaempferia parviflora: krachaidum) extracts. A method for producing pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of muscle diseases or for the improvement of muscle function uses a flavone compound separated from the extract, the compound being represented by the following formula and reducing protein catabolism in the muscles and increasing muscle cell differentiation and anabolism.SELECTED DRAWING: None
