This evaporator is held from an outer circumferential side by means of a holding part (500). The evaporator is provided with main body parts (100, 200, 300) configured as heat exchangers through the insides of which a refrigerant flows, and a packing (400) disposed on a portion of the main parts facing the holding part. The packing has an inner elastic layer (420) which is a layer of the packing disposed nearest to the main parts, and an outer elastic layer (410) which is a layer of the packing disposed nearest to the holding part. The magnitude of the compressive reaction force produced when the outer elastic layer is compressed by a certain amount is less than the magnitude of the compressive reaction force produced when the inner elastic layer is compressed by a certain amount. According to this evaporator, the generation of noises that reach the driver's seat of a vehicle can be suppressed while reducing the weight and cost of the evaporator. |
