PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device that deters unevenness (jaggedness) of segments from being conspicuous because the angle of the segment of a thin line of image data to be printed becomes closer to the angle (screen angle) of an array of stripes when halftones are represented using a dither method of the parallel line tint screen. SOLUTION: The font of a character is adjusted and when the segment angle of the font becomes less than a screen angle of the parallel line tint screen and a threshold, it is determined that jaggedness is generated to generate an output image by rotating all parallel line tint screens of respective colors by 90°.
