PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables a user to check, on a preview image, information on data of an actual output image created from image data.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an auxiliary storage part 15 that stores original image data of an output object; a preview image creation part 17 that creates a preview image based on output settings from the original image data; an output image creation part 19 that creates an output image based on the output settings from the original image data; a data information acquisition part 25 that acquires data information from output image data and discards the output image data from which the data information has been acquired; and an operation panel 9 that displays the data size together with the preview image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
