A clamping device, containing a clamping rod (2) in the pressing plate (1), forming the piston of the power cylinder and equipped with a release power unit, formed by a release piston (2c) sliding in the release pressure chamber (1c), a flexible self-locking clamping cone (2b), itself formed by friction ring (4) of flexible material, between which there are distancing rings (5) for which there is an auxiliary conical clamping space (lb) in the plate body (1). Clamping and releasing the device (6) is performed using the clamping pressure chamber (1 a) and release pressure chamber (lc), which are interconnected with the one-way control valve (3) connected to the source of pressure liquid. Release of the device (6) is possible only after feeding the pressure liquid into the one-way control valve (3), and simultaneously by the lower channel (1f) into the release pressure chamber (lc) under the surface of the release piston (2c). In case of failure the release can be performed mechanically by means of a key and a shank (2d), projecting into a driving hollow chamber (ld), accessible from outside the plate (1).<IMAGE>
