PURPOSE:To make the gear housing of a power steering device at a low cost in whose wall an operation oil supply/discharge passage reaching from a control valve to a power cylinder is installed. CONSTITUTION:A housing is molded in which tube bodies 31, 32 are positioned in a mold space by bar shape support members 41, 42 whose base ends are fixed on the inner wall of a sand mold 22 and support tubes 311, 321 and the tube bodies 31, 32 are cast by pouring a casting material in the mold space. An operation oil supply/discharge passage is made by providing through holes penetrating the tube bodies 31, 32 on their one-side ends and their other-side ends respectively and opening the one-side ends of tube bodies in a part facing to a control valve and also opening the other ends in a cylinder room partitioned by a power piston. Stop plug members are inserted in the through holes made by the removal of support members 41, 42 buried in respective through holes and the wall of a housing. |
