PURPOSE:To allow the data collection device to recognize a data collection request from a host computer without installation of a special load device. CONSTITUTION:A data collection terminal equipment 1 is provided at least with an NCU 1, a MODEM 1b recognizing a specific DTMF signal sent through public telephone lines 6, 8, and a CPU 1c and connected in parallel with a telephone set 3 or a facsimile equipment 4 and copying machines 21 to 22 or the like via a normally closed relay 1d, and the CPU 1c recognizes an incoming call from a host computer 10 by a specific DTMF signal sent through the public telephone lines 6, 8 and opens the normally closing relay 1d to open the telephone set 3 or the facsimile equipment 4 from the public telephone lines 6, 8 and various data from the copying machines 21 to 22 or the like are sent from the MODEM 1b to the host computer 10. |
