An electric lead assembly is provided for coupling a signal generated by a subject of an MR procedure between a first location, proximate to the subject, and a specified second location, such as to a device disposed to receive the signal, and through an RF electro-magnetic field. The lead assembly includes a coupling device joinable to an electrode attached to the subject, and a loss-less substrate extending from the coupling device to the second location. A film formed of electrically conductive material is deposited along the substrate to provide a signal path through the RF electro-magnetic field. The film has a thickness dimension which is substantially less than the skin depth of the material of which the film is formed, for the frequency of the RF field, so that the film is substantially transparent to the field. <IMAGE> |
